CYD Purpose

CYD is the acronym that stands for Children and Youth Department of the Spiritist Federation of Florida. CYD is geared to open a channel of communication among all the Spiritist Educators in the State of Florida – Babies, Infant, Children and Youth educators – with the intention to share information and experiences to enrich the teaching experience for all Children and Spiritist Educators in the region.  CYD was created in 2012 in order to promote the Children and Youth Spiritist Education in the State of Florida under the light of Spiritism. In 2016, a team of 5 educators was chosen from different parts of the state to work together in developing some value add to this department bringing knowledge directly to Spiritist Educators:

CYD Services

The CYD has 3 major service areas to offer to its members:

CYD Spiritist Educator Assistance Booklet is currently available on the CYD Blog (http://sffcyd.blogspot.com), However we are migrating the information to this site here.  This book is a general guide that outlines an easy-to-follow foundation for any Spiritist Institution to start, organize, or add procedures to their children and youth study programs, whether they are existent or just starting.

CYD Training and Workshops. These are offered in 2 times a year.  The Federation of Florida allows the CYD to bring Spiritist Educators Facilitators to share their knowledge directly to you.  In February, we have our CYD Face-to-Face workshop in English and in September we have our “CYD Cara-a-Cara” in Portuguese.  These programs are designed to be promote learning through hands-on/interactive workshops and foster an open dialogue among people who share the same goal – to promote Spiritism as a foundation for our children to grow, with love and respect under the light of Jesus.

The Face-To-Face Workshop goal is to bring a speaker who already lives in the USA and shares our day-to-day experiences and understands the laws and limitations that we have as Spiritist Educators in the USA.  The “Cara-a-Cara” Workshop brings experts that have been within the Spiritist Education for many years and share with us ideas about dissecting the Gospel in a way that our children can understand.  Although they come from a totally different cultural background, we can learn from them the techniques and knowledge they have acquired over the years. This workshop is normally scheduled for the months of September/October.  The best way to be informed is signing up for our newsletter.

CYD Peer Experience Exchange Opportunity, the CYD Sharring group on WhatsApp, this group was created with the purpose of Spiritist Educators of all ages sharing information about classes and findings to assist in teaching a class in the USA, it has collaborators from all over the world and it is monitored by all participants in order to keep integrity of information and focus on the topic “Spiritist Education for Children and Youth”.  This group is meant to be tri-lingual (English, Portuguese and Spanish).  To participate, from your cell phone Click Here

The department exists to promote and assist Florida Spiritist Institutions that have, or intend to have, a Children and Youth Educational Program.  The CYD can provide assistance in obtaining materials, providing training, delivering workshops, and interacting with other educators in order to stimulate an educational process in which our children and youth grow in terms of “Moral Values” and the “Need to be a Good Person” as stated in The Gospel According to Spiritism by Allan Kardec.  Also, we encourage fraternity in the hearts of our young ones so that they can truly inherit the Earth and make the necessary changes for the betterment of our Tomorrow’s World.

Please join us, everyone is invited to participate!!!
